PIP Power MPS: the multi-functional solution
PIP Power MPS has been developed for tough industrial environments. The flat design of the
unit is ideal not only for extensive control cabinets, but also for terminal boxes. The PIP
Power MPS family features a switching output that may be read directly from the PLC. It signals
both overload and overheating problems and operates as a fail-safe function.
The three LED indicators give a clear view of the status of the power supply units. Green
indicates normal, uninterrupted operation. If the PIP Power MPS power supply unit is operated
outside the permitted range, e.g. beyond the 20% power reserve, or at extensive operating
temperatures, a yellow warning is shown before a red LED highlights operational disconnection.
This allows the operator to register the condition of the power supply unit in one glance.
After all, the greater the level of support the better when it comes to trouble-shooting and
reducing downtime. The quicker operations restart, the higher the productivity of the system,
and this is what counts in the end.
